City of Austin Offers Free Toilets

The City of Austin Water Conservation program is currently offering up to three water conserving toilets to residential customers for free. All that is required is that your home be built prior to January 1, 1996.  Additionally, Multi-Family and Commercial customers can also participate in the program and receive additional toilets if they are installed within 3 months of receipt – inspections will apply.

The Elongated PF 9300

The high efficiency toilets (Proflo 9300) have dual flush technology that only use either 1.1 gallons per flush or 1.6 gallons per flush based on, how shall we say it, the need at the time. These toilets are EPA Water Sense certified and free! The City is also offers a toilet recycling program for your old toilet.  This opportunity is only available through August 31, 2011.  For complete program details for residential customers see the City of Austin Water Conservation website here.  For existing Commercial or Multi-Family projects see the details here.
